Text Box: We could not have effectively performed this drama had it not been for the combined effort of each one. The cast included fifteen men and one woman. Most of the roles had but a few lines. There was even one role that had no speaking part. But without the work of each one, the message would not have been clear.
It is in our togetherness that we are able to accomplish great things for the Lord. The disciples of Jesus demonstrated this clearly to us. We need to continue to intentionally work together for the cause of Christ, building His kingdom together.
Look for ways that you can share the work of the kingdom with others that God Himself has brought into your life. While sowing your seed begins with your own willingness to serve, God will put others into your life so that your efforts together will be beyond what we can accomplish individually.
May God bless our efforts as we join our hands and hearts in service to Him!
In His arms,
Text Box: On Palm Sunday, April 1st, our home church scheduled the drama, The Living Last Supper, for both morning services. My father wrote this drama some years ago. While quite a bit of the visual content of the drama revolves around DaVinci’s painting, The Last Supper, my father put in a lot of work and research that comes out in the storyline.
Jesus had entrusted the establishment of the early church to His disciples. When you look at these men, our first thought might be that they were vastly under-qualified for the job. The group consisted of fishermen, a tax collector, even a terrorist. Yet, Jesus spoke to each one at the point of their greatest need, for a Savior, and a personal relationship with God. Through Jesus, each man became aware of the sin in his own life, and how impossible it was for each of them to find redemption apart from Christ.

Text Box: Each man played an integral part in the establishment of Christ’s church and the spread of the Gospel. No two of them accomplished exactly the same thing. Some stayed in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas. Others traveled to North Africa, and others to far away India. Each shared the Good News and spread the message of God’s love through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus.
Through the drama, we learn that each man, except John, died a martyr’s death. Simon, known as The Zealot, was sawn in half. John, though dying a natural death, died while in exile in a prison without walls, on an island called Patmos.
Together, these men were able to accomplish a great thing. Without their faithful obedience and passionate fervor we would not have the church today. What an amazing thought!

Text Box: Isn’t God good? We had a wonderful visit with some of our family at Easter. We celebrated my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary. That’s a lot of years of wedding bliss—along with the ups and downs, good and bad, love and struggles that 60 years of marriage brings.
That marriage brought about three children—my sister, Joyce, myself, and my younger brother Donald. Donald was killed in a car accident at 18 years old.

Text Box: Donald was a great kid, and I’m sure there was a good reason that God took him to heaven much earlier than the rest of us. I’m sure that Don joined us in rejoicing at Mom and Dad’s anniversary, from a heavenly view.
Mom and Dad were here, as well as my sister, Joyce, and my niece and nephew.

Text Box: Two of our kids were also able to make it to Idaho to celebrate with us — Tim, our youngest son, and Diona—our oldest daughter, along with her husband, Leonard, and our granddaughter, Kathleen.
We missed the rest of the kids, but we realize they have busy lives! It was so great to have everyone that could make it here to celebrate this special day with our parents. My sister and I are so fortunate to have been raised by Godly parents. Thanks again Mom and Dad!
